We have had two very thick frosts these last two days but this morning we heard bird song before the alarm :-) Spring is on the way, Sherry. Winter will soon be gone and replaced with warm sunny days.

Dear Chris,
I am so glad it is February and not November! I keep trying to keep my spirits up. I just am tired of the cold.
So glad spring is coming to your gardens. The birds know. Maybe in a few weeks I too will hear those early bird songs.
Thank you for the lift. I think I will fix a cup of tea and turn on some pretty music and just relax. Spring will get here when she does.

Yes I know about the winter weariness. One does get tire of the cold. especailly when you wake up and it's only 4 out. Brr!!!!

But I won't complain too much, after all if all goes right tomorrow. Might have an earlier day at work, with snow they are forecasting. Might get another 7 inches.

Dear Cathy,
You do get snow! Another seven inches??? That would put my city into a standstill. We do get snow off and on all winter but rarely seven inches.
Be extra careful. Home early is always nice. A snow day is an excellent surprise.
I am rather tired of the cold. I want to be outsied cleaning up the leaves "far from Fall."
Stay warm. We will wait for spring.

Winter weary, indeed. Much to be thankful for...but I, too, am tired of winter, snow, cold and cabin fever is on the attack. Lovely clip, again.

Dear Sue,
What a week! My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones in the tornadoes. If it wasn't for the birds and birthdays I would hibernate. I miss walking. My body is stiff and sore.
Thank you for poems and watercolors. They keep me going.

It is -17 today, more snow is expected (2-3cm). The sun is shining through the windows though making the cold outside deceiving. I am grateful for the song of our budgie Jax :-}

Dear Deb,
I think I would enjoy a Budgie!
Years ago our daughter had a pair of birds. She loved them. My Mother had canaries. It would be nice to have a bird sitting on my shoulder or on my desk! As it is I have Mockingbird asking for raisins.
Stay warm! You have had the snow and the cold! Brr...

Dear Sprite,
Every Autummn I have this concern about winter. I always think I will do just fine until February.
Sometime in February I wonder if I will make it to spring! I need to travel south in February!
An island retreat for a week...I wonder how the weather is in Bali in February...?
